Michael Wall is a London based artist whose practice embraces minimalism and craftsmanship by exploring a vast range of printing, painting and sculpture techniques.
Wall’s main influences include Neo-Geo, Abstract Expressionism and Modernist Sculpture. Playfully addressing scale, form and color - the pieces offer themselves to be ambiguous and approachable. Since 2015 his work has been exhibited internationally and has been featured notably with Cereal and AnOther Magazine.
Wall's large panels are painted with powdered pigment and paint, exhibiting subtle texture within swaths of form and color. The pieces gather their full potential when responded to by an audience, collectively and individually. Inspired by geometric abstraction of the 1980s, the work exists to mirror contemporary society.
